| | I'm very happy with this Island. It's a great mix of open and closed storage and clean lines and works perfectly in my kitchen. On the down side, the assembly was more difficult than I thought it was going to be. One reviewer said it took them 90 minutes. I'm a pretty handy person and it took me nearly 3 hours. The fastening system is not as elegant as other systems I've come across and I wonder how it will hold up over time but so far so good. At the end of the assembly my hands were hurting from the effort I had to exert to get the joints tight. The directions were great though. Good diagrams, easy to understand writing and some well placed warnings about mistakes to avoid. Also, the finish is ok but I'll probably do something different. Bottom line is it's a well designed, well crafted Island with clean lines and I love it.
